ABOUT US

Born in the Andes. Made for the world.

Our Story

Utku began with a simple idea: to honour the roots that raised us. What started as a family-run dream in Ecuador has grown into a clothing brand grounded in heritage, care, and craft.

Our mission is to support Indigenous communities and women artisans in Ecuador by creating meaningful, long-term work—offering secure, fair trade partnerships and a stable, dignified wage. Each piece is designed with intention and made by the hands of skilled makers who carry generations of tradition.

Utku isn’t just fashion—it’s a way to preserve culture, empower communities, and wear something that truly matters.

What Do We Believe

We believe in creating clothing that carries meaning.

We believe in slow fashion—made with care, not speed.

In transparency, dignity, and honouring the hands behind the work.

In protecting culture while building something new.

Utku is more than clothing. It’s a commitment to do better—together.

How Much Do We Pay Our Artisans?

Utku was born from our roots in the Andes, and everything we do is shaped by that connection. We believe in supporting Indigenous communities, not just with words—but with action. That means long-term partnerships, fair trade practices, and secure, stable wages for the women and artisans who bring each piece to life.
