The Fabián Shirt

The Fabián Shirt

On the product page, it just says: “The Fabián has a name for a reason. Named pieces carry intention.” It never says why.

It's Just His Name

Fabián is a real person, not a brand word. These days he's the one running material research and factory operations in Ibarra, and as the family will tell you flat out, there's no factory without him. This shirt's cut from the same crinkle cotton the family has used for about forty years now, and it carries his name because, well, he's been in it a long time and has it in different colors, a staple piece of his wardrobe.

This Shirt's Older Than UTKU

The Fabián Shirt has been live since August 2024, months before UTKU existed as a brand at all (that came that November). And the actual design goes back further still. This is a shirt the family's been quietly refining in the factory for years, long before anyone thought to put a name on it.

Nobody workshopped this for one season and moved on to the next trend. Same hands, same factory, small tweaks here and there whenever someone figured out a better way to finish a seam or set a collar.

What “Heirloom” Actually Looks Like

This Is What We Mean By Heirloom

We talk about heirloom quality a lot. This shirt is what that actually looks like in practice, not just a word on a hangtag. 100% crinkle cotton, pre-shrunk so it holds its shape. Relaxed through the body, clean collar, wear it tucked or don't bother.

Named pieces carry intention, and this one's intention is a person. Not a marketing team's idea of one.
